We are pleased to finally announce the arrival of Joypuke III, the latest (and fashionably so) instalment of our literary journal.

Shoutout to Daniel Perry

We recently received word here at Underbridge that Daniel Perry, one of the fantastic writers featured in the upcoming Joypuke III, will be publishing a collection of his work May! Here’s what he has to say about it:

Introducing Ellipsis…

A multi-lingual journal of poetry & prose.

Call for submissions until September 1, 2016.

Accepted languages: French, Spanish, Japanese, German, and English.

Please attach a translation with your submission, but this is not required (just highly appreciated!).

Accepted submissions will be published on our online journal in the spring of 2017. We are also planning to launch a hard copy journal, with a launch time TBD.

Write in languages other than these five? – then let us know!

We initially restrict languages to these five because of limited access to translation and editorial resources. However, that does not mean we would be uninterested in considering a different language for publication.

Coming Soon to a Campus near you – Joypuke III! Plus, a new endeavour…

That’s right – it has been a busy year with a lot of changes here at Underbridge, and at the end of it all we are closing in on the new release date for Joypuke III! Keep an eye out for the latest edition, coming in Fall 2016.

Joypuke 2014 Submission Deadline Extended

The nation-wide submissions deadline for Joypuke 2014 have been extended! We are now accepting work through to June 20th. Send your submissions to underbridge@mta.ca. Please keep prose pieces under 2500 words, and poetry under 150 lines.

Featuring poetry, prose, and creative non-fiction, Joypuke is an annual literary journal based out of Sackville, New Brunswick. Joypuke 2013, the inaugural issue, was launched to a rousing reception. Joypuke 2014 promises to be bigger and even better.
